Nombre Completo: Zayn Jaawad Malik.

- Antes de entrar a The X Factor, tenia planeado estudiar Licenciatura de Inglés en la Universidad para convertirse en profesor.


- Confirmó que él y Belle Amie miembro de Ginebra Lane, tuvieron un romace a finales de Diciembre de 2010.


- Durante las rondas de bootcamp de "The X Factor" (2004) en
2010, Malik se destacó por desaparecer durante el baile
de rutina como se sentía nervioso y incómodo bailando delante de la gente.


- Simon Cowell lo encontró sentado detrás del escenario y lo convenció para participar de todos modos porque si no estaría arruinando la oportunidad para sí mismo.

Historia One Direction

El grupo juvenil One Direction está integrado por Harry Styles (16 años), Liam Payne (17 años), Niall Horan (17 años), Zayn Malik (17 años) y Louis Tomlinson (19 años). Aunque cada uno de ellos se presentó de manera individual, al casting X Factor 2010, el grupo se formó en el Bootcamp Stage de la competencia de X Factor, y fue dirigido por Simon Cowell. 

Los chicos han ganado seguidores en todo el Reino Unido durante en los cuatro meses de competencia, y se convirtió en un fenómeno internacional en el mundo. Desafortunadamente no ganaron la final de X Factor, pero quedaron en el tercer lugar, y firmaron oficialmente el sello Syco music, del multimillonario Simon Cowell, donde graban grandes artistas como Leona Lewis y Olly Murs.


El quintento británico-irlandés estreno el 19 de agosto el vídeo oficial de "What Makes You Beautiful", sencillo promocional de su álbum debut que aún no tiene fecha de salida al mercado.
